This role is critical in ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available network connectivity, including environments such as mining and geographically distributed operations.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Design & ArchitectureDesign, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environmentsSupport network modernization and integration initiatives (including M&A activities)Develop standardized network solutions for remote and industrial sitesPerform capacity planning, lifecycle management, and infrastructure upgrades Network Operations & SupportManage and support routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access pointsConfigure and troubleshoot VLANs, routing protocols, NAT, and firewall rulesBuild and maintain site-to-site and remote-access VPN solutionsAdminister Palo Alto firewalls including rule management, logging, and traffic analysisSupport remote access solutions such as GlobalProtect and Azure VPNTroubleshoot complex network issues across enterprise and remote environmentsCreate and maintain network documentation, diagrams, SOPs, and runbooksParticipate in on-call rotations and maintenance activities Required Skills5+ years of experience in enterprise networkingStrong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and wireless technologiesHands-on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)Experience with Aruba networking solutions (or similar platforms)Expertise in VLANs, NAT, VPNs, and network segmentationExperience supporting distributed and remote site networksStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsGood communication and documentation abilities Preferred SkillsPalo Alto certifications (PCNSE) or equivalent experienceExperience with SD-WAN technologiesKnowledge of Azure networking (VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, etc.)Experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds or LogicMonitorProficiency in Visio or similar diagramming toolsCertifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, Aruba
