Cook Responsibilities:
Assists in the preparation/cooking of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
Cooks are responsible for making sure the kitchen runs smoothly and ensures that the meals are prepared and served in a timely manner.
Cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment following all standards, including regulatory rules and procedures
Requirement:
High school diploma or equivalent

The Children's Home of Kingston's school, Grove St Academy, is a NYSED Certified 853 special education school located on the campus of the Children's Home of Kingston in Kingston, NY. Grove St Academy provides necessary educational services for both day and residential students age range 8-21, grades 4th -12th. Grove Street Academy specializes in small classroom settings and utilizes project-based learning on campus and in the community. We use a Trauma System Therapy approach throughout the campus and provide the students and their families with a system of support and interventions that are not available within the public education sectors.
