Field Sales Engineer

Toyota Automated Logistics is seeking a Field Application Engineer for their Memphis market. Job OverviewA Field Application Engineer promotes the latest technologies within the Automated Material Handling industry to customers. They develop strong relationships with the industrial and distribution clients in a geographical area and provides them with exceptional material handling and automation solutions to meet their business requirements. This role allows you to work with some of the latest technologies in the ever-changing material handling field including robotics, mobile robotics, autonomous vehicles, AGV’s, and more. Job FunctionsThe FAE position we are looking to fill will require a hunter who is undaunted by cold calling. The ideal candidate will have no issue generating lists of target accounts and doing the consistent reach outs (phone, virtual and in-person) that success will require. The goal for the first few years will be to achieve new buying accounts through these outbound sales activities, in addition to a sales quota.Develop strong relationships with our customers through timely, regular visitsAssess needs and present solutions tailored to customer specificationsSell a wide variety of products and services to meet your customers’ needsCollaborate with other Toyota Automated Logistics entities to provide the best solution to the customerProvide professional sales quotes in a timely mannerMaster business technology (AutoCad, CRM, Power Point presentations, etc.)Pursue leads from our Web Site and suppliersMaintain customer database information current in our CRMCommunicate strategic information regarding suppliers, customers, and competitionNetwork with business contacts within the territory and industryMaster product information through training and personal efforts Travel Requirements: 25% overnight travel (expenses paid by Toyota Automated Logistics) Must maintain a valid drivers license Preferred Skills and Required Qualifications Must be eligible to work in the US long term without sponsorship Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or MET preferred)2+ years work engineering work experience outside of academia Technical Sales experience needed, industrial sector preferredMaterial handling automation design and sales experienceStrong presentation AutoCad experience a plusEntrepreneurial and competitive personalityEmployees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents to support our information security controls.About Toyota Automated Logistics:Toyota Automated Logistics is your global partner for integrated warehouse automation.
