Job Description:This position performs a variety of heavy/light vehicles/equipment parts/supplies acquisitions and supply warehouse activities in accordance with State Procurement Laws, ADOT and EQS Policies/ProceduresPosition requires a valid driver's license throughout the period of employment.• Tentative start date will be dependent upon interviews conducted, onboarding completed, and the state agency issuing a PO.• HireRight must be used for Background Checks and Drug ScreeningsLocal Only Candidates - Resumes must specify the current location of the candidate, all those who do not state current location will not be considered. - AS A REMINDER - Candidates must be local at time of submission, and available for in person interviews within 1 week of the posting close date. Candidates must also be able to start within 2 weeks of an offer being made.Major Responsibilities/Essential FunctionsOrdering/Purchasing of parts and supplies, maintaining Purchase Card log and receipts for purchases. Perform parts/supplies stock inventories/reconciliations in accordance with EQS Policies or as directed by the supervisor or managementProvide customer service support in person and by phone or e-mail. Fill parts/supplies stock orders and stock/replenish supply warehouse shelves withline items. Assist in obtaining, tracking and posting chemical Material Data Safety Sheets as warrantedAssist in the timely turn-in/management of parts cores. Ship/mail parts/supplies as needed or directed. Post (input) parts/supplies cost data into FleetFocusAssist in keeping offices and supply warehouse neat and orderly at all timesLoad/unload cargo on/off trucks. Operate vehicle/truck lift gates, forklift vehicle, pallet jacks and drum lifts as requiredOperate a state vehicle for pick-up and delivery of parts/supplies as needed or as directedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledgeParts research procedures, including use of manufacturers' and vendors' catalogs, cross-reference guides and related parts resources.Makes/models and parts information for vehicles and heavy equipment.State Procurement laws, rules, and procedures.Vendors for purchases of hard-to-find, unusual, or highly specialized parts and supplies.Record keeping and inventory control procedures/practices and parts warehousing and safety procedures.Computer programs such as MS Office and Google Workspace, and applications to post and track parts, inventory and budgetsSkillsDetermining information needed from technician or part to find a replacement part.Checking incoming parts/supplies against invoices, packing slips and related documents.Maintaining inventory control records.Operating computer programs to create spreadsheets, documents, and reports.Math to determine amounts of materials, OD's (outside diameters), ID's (inside diameters), and specific measurements to procure parts and supplies.Communication used to convey information to acquire correct parts.Customer service; understanding the customers' needsAbilityComplete paperwork legibly and enter data into computer accurately.Operate a vehicle to pick up parts and supplies when necessary; operate a forklift.Organize, multi-task, follow up and follow direction.Push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds and pass a physical examPosition requires a valid driver's license throughout the period of employment.Required Skills:Knowledge of vehicle parts and repairsExperience with purchasingExperience with Inventory management
