Chief People Officer

You enjoy collaborating with various teams, and can also tackle tasks independently.** *You are aligned with* *and share an unwavering belief that every child, regardless of their identity and needs, can thrive and meet ambitious goals.** Design strategies in partnership with network leadership with input from the entire Impact community aimed at achieving ambitious long term goals around team member retention.* Lead the People Team to successfully meet annual targets aligned to the network's long-term vision.* Develop the systems, structures, and talent infrastructure required to grow the organization.* Grow Impact's leadership capacity by developing & hiring talent to meet Impact's mission of closing the opportunity gap and providing all students their right to a high-quality education.* Partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop and implement organizational strategy.* Serve as a thought leader on all operations matters and develop strong professional working relationships with the CEO, senior leadership team members, the board, and school leaders.* Translate Impact's educational vision into operational systems that support school success so that culture and academics can thrive.* Lead long-term operational planning and resource allocation across all schools.* Work with external stakeholders on operational strategies and challenges, including legal counsel, WA State Charter School Commission (authorizer), Charter School Growth Fund, as well as the board of directors to ensure our work is compliant, sustainable, and leverages best practices.* With the senior leadership team, cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence among the staff, as well as a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.* Serve as a role model, leader, and manager, investing deeply in supporting your direct reports as well as all operations and people team members.* Oversee hiring, on-boarding, goal setting, management, and evaluation of talent at all levels in partnership with school and home office leaders.* Build team structures that ensure a high level of customer service to meet the needs of our schools and home office by leveraging processes that are standardized, streamlined, and efficient.* Promote a team culture of high performance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement grounded in our core values.* Partner with the C-Suite team on the creation, development, and delivery of a scalable long-term Talent Strategy and Core People Practices.* Provide oversight and thought partnership for talent acquisition, onboarding/offboarding, and organizational health initiatives, which are owned and implemented by a direct report(s); this includes designing the employee onboarding experience, co-leading the annual organizational health survey, deriving insights, and creating action plans based on results to support organizational health.* Lead the People Team at Impact Public Schools creating a strong vision for the team aligned to Impact's Talent Strategy.* Champion and orchestrate an inclusive, performance-driven organizational culture focused on professional excellence and community.* Transform talent operations processes by leveraging talent management best practices for driving successful recruitment, retention, professional development, and culture-building initiatives.* Curate career pathways and succession planning for Impact leaders* Partner and provide training, development, and accountability for school leaders on Impact's People Practices, including developing & monitoring the Talent Dashboard on hiring and performance on key people practices.* Harness input from the entire Impact community to refine ongoing talent strategy and values proposition in order to meet ambitious talent goals.* Serve as primary owner for strategic workforce and succession planning.* Bachelor's degree* 12+ years of overall professional experience, with at least 5 of those years in senior leadership roles within high-growth organizations* 6+ years leading others as a department leader* 8+ years in talent or human resources including demonstrated knowledge of talent and HR best practice implementation* Deep understanding of US employment law, compliance, and associated best practices.* Experience overseeing complex employee relations issues.* Expertise in recruiting tactics, metrics, and capacity planning.* Demonstrated success developing career paths, promotion reviews, and compensation cycles in previous roles.* Excellent leadership and change management skills, with the ability to build relationships, mentor, and influence staff at all levels; enthusiasm to "roll up your sleeves" and do the work as well as manage and direct the work of others* Results-driven, agile change agent with demonstrated skill at managing the execution of both small-scale and large-scale projects* Excellence in people management with the demonstrated ability to coach, manage, develop, and retain high-performing teams* Exceptional relationship management skills, with a track record of working collaboratively with a diverse set of colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared goals* Thrives in a highly collaborative, collegial, entrepreneurial, and hybrid environment* Experience in nonprofit or K-12 education experience* Experience with Workday or other HRIS + ATS Systems.* SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or other similar HR certification.* Certifications in leadership development/training, coaching, change, and other related programs#J-18808-Ljbffr
