Senior Art Director
Baron & Baron is seeking a Senior Art Director to join our New York–based art department. This role is ideal for a visually driven creative with an exceptional eye for beauty, typography, brand, and visual storytelling, and deep fluency in luxury fashion and beauty. You will work across fully integrated 360° campaigns—spanning film, print, and digital communications (web and social)—bringing conceptual thinking and precise execution to every touchpoint. Partnering closely with Creative Directors, Strategists, Writers, Photographers, Producers, Post-Production, Account Directors, and Operations, you will help bring bold ideas to life while ensuring work is on-brand, culturally relevant, and delivered on time.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute refined visual concepts across campaigns, brand identities, editorials, digital experiences, and special projectsConceive and lead strong 360° concepts across print, film, and digitalIndependently lead projects of smaller scope while supporting larger, more complex initiativesServe as a client-facing creative partnerAssist the Creative Directors in establishing the creative vision behind projects and execute the vision through productionConduct and curate visual research across photography, design, film, and cultural referencesTranslate creative concepts into cohesive design systems that scale across print, digital, social, and filmPresent work internally and externally with clear creative rationale and storytellingOversee internal design needs executed by Junior Art Directors, interns, and freelancers, ensuring consistency and qualityStay deeply engaged with current trends in design, art, fashion, beauty, and cultureOn SetPrior on-set experience requiredSupport larger productions, with a focus on overseeing social and digital deliverablesIndependently manage small- to mid-size shootsCollaborate with photographers, stylists, and producers to ensure creative intent is upheld on setPost-ProductionOversee retouching and video editingProvide and manage detailed retouching notes, proof reviews, edit sessions, color sessions, and final approvalsManage campaign rollouts across multiple formats and platformsTechnical Skills & ExperienceStrong graphic design skills with proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoshopAdvanced comping skills in Photoshop and through AI Strong eye for photography, film, art, and visual storytellingFamiliarity with video editing and/or animation software is a plus6–10 years of experience in art direction across design, fashion, on-set production, and post-production environmentsBenefitsCompetitive salaryHealth, dental, and vision insurance, plus One Medical membership and Optum Financial FSA401(k) with company matchGenerous paid time off, company-wide holidays, and office closure from Christmas Eve through New Year’sHybrid work schedule
