Accounting Manager

The company has a strong local presence and steady growth, creating a role where you can make a meaningful and lasting impact.The Role As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of the business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient processes, and strong financial visibility for leadership.This is a hands-on role where you will manage the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, job costing, and payables/receivables, while also supporting payroll, compliance, and financial reporting. You will work closely with leadership, operations, and external advisors to keep the financial side of the business running smoothly and efficiently.This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and motivated to take ownership while continually improving processes as the company grows.What We're Looking For5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Experience in construction, contracting, or job-costing environments preferred Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, including month-end close and reconciliations Experience managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes Experience working with multiple systems (accounting, job costing, CRM) Familiarity with job costing, including labor, materials, and project-based tracking Experience supporting payroll and commission calculations Knowledge of sales tax, payroll tax, and general compliance requirements Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities Highly organized with strong attention to detail Strong Excel skills required Additional DetailsCandidates should be local to the Albany area and able to work on-site as part of a collaborative team environment.What We OfferCompetitive salary, commensurate with experience 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance Flexible Spending Account Life insurance Paid time off Opportunity to step into a high-ownership role within a growing business Please note: This position is being recruited and managed by CEFO Advisors as part of an ongoing client engagement.This position requires the completion of a background check due to state and federal compliance requirements.Salary: $75000 - $90000 per yearJob Posted by ApplicantPro
