Job Opening: Personal Care Assistant Client: Physically Disabled Adult Male Location: Primarily Detroit, MI 48202, with occasional travel within the broader community Schedule: Full‑time, Part‑time, and Weekend shifts available Compensation: $22.77 per hour; up to 40 hours per week Anticipated Start Date: 8/30/2026 Position Overview A Personal Care Assistant is sought to provide direct support to a physically disabled adult male in daily living activities, mobility assistance, and participation in educational, career, and personal pursuits. This role requires reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to person‑centered, autonomy‑respecting care. All shifts are available, seven days per week, with a maximum of 40 hours weekly. Primary Responsibilities Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing Provide mobility support and perform safe transfers using a Hoyer Lift Prepare meals and assist with feeding Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks Accompany the client to appointments, errands, and community outings Provide appropriate companionship and support Operate a wheelchair‑accessible van and power lift Secure the wheelchair using approved tie‑down strap systems within the vehicle Required Qualifications Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to successfully pass a background check Valid driver’s license and active motor vehicle insurance Minimum age of 18 years Additional Information Non‑smoking environment Comprehensive on‑the‑job training provided Application Instructions Please submit your résumé and a brief introduction through Indeed Messenger.
