In this role, you will contribute to a best‑in‑class customer experience while helping customers find the right technology solutions for their needs.This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment, enjoy continuous learning, and share our dedication to delivering outstanding service.What You’ll DoAssist customers with a variety of computer and electronics purchases in our high-volume big box retail store, while providing excellent customer serviceMaintain product knowledge and participate in continued sales, vendor and product trainingExecute solution selling based on company direction and metricsMaintain the department by ensuring a clean work areaPerform merchandising activities such as processing freight, restocking merchandise, maintaining displays, and assist in executing promotional signage and price changesParticipate in open and close procedures and support store operations by performing cycle counts, maintaining loss prevention awareness, and nightly store recoveryStay current on all communications from customers, associates and Home OfficeEnsure that customer service standards are met and that difficult customer situations are handled courteously and professionallyPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assignedWhat We’re Looking ForHigh School diploma or equivalent with one year of related experience in a customer service or related role strongly preferredPassion for technology, including computers/electronics & commissioned sales experience is a definite plus (your knowledge and skill level will be matched to the department where you can best serve our customers)Sincere interest in helping customers select products that meet their needsExcellent communication & interpersonal skills combined with the ability to multitask and adjust prioritiesPhysical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs., stand for prolonged periods of timeFlexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysBenefits That Support Your Growth And Well‑BeingAt Micro Center, we’re committed to taking care of our associates so they can thrive—both at work and in life.
