Supervises all instructional programs and campus level day to day operations to ensurepositive student outcomes and safety. Ensures that programs and procedures at site comply with New MexicoEarly Childhood Program Standards. Supervises students and all staff (at site and satellite classrooms) byperforming the following duties personally.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Complies with the Code of Ethics of the Education Profession; upholds and enforces rules, administrativedirectives, regulations, GISD school board policies, as well as local, state and federal regulations.All functions are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety and computer securityregulations.Is knowledgeable and follows all procedures and practices contained in the New Mexico Early Childhood ProgramStandards, ECERS-3, ECERS-E, ASQ-3, and ASQ-SE-2, Practice-Based Coaching, Full Participation of EachChild, Pyramid Framework, LETRS, the New Mexico PreK Early Childhood Observation Tool and children'sObservational Portfolios.Assists in the planning, organization and administering of professional development to include PLC's.Meets regularly with the district Early Childhood Leadership Team to discuss/plan/ review program compliance,student /staff needs, upcoming events etc. Suggests modifications of service delivery of program or improvementplans, as needed, in response to NM Pre-K Specialists directives.Confers with the Director of Early Childhood to report status/compliance with all New Mexico Pre-K standards,policies and procedures.Attends all NM PreK Administrator meetings and assists as needed in the preparation of ALL AdministrativeReports for submission to NM PreK Specialists.Plans and supports all enrollment recruiting activities with the Early Childhood Leadership Team. Attends allenrollment recruiting activities specific to the supervised site and satellite classrooms.Supervises attendance and works with ECECD and GISD POA's to improve student attendanceConducts classroom walkthroughs and observations (following ECECD and GISD guidelines) and serves as theevaluator for all instructional staff at site and satellite classrooms.Ensures all instructional staff hold required NM PreK certifications & informs the Director of Early Childhoodwhen staff does not meet NM PreK certification.Identifies staffing needs specific to site and satellite classrooms. Interviews and makes hiring recommendations ofnew staff.Meets regularly with Early Childhood staff at site to disseminate information relevant to all instructional staff.Arranges for and oversees substitute teachers.Serves as Site Test Coordinator to prepare and assist in the administration of Early Childhood state mandatedassessments.Provides assistance to the Director of Early Childhood with the development of program budget and the PreK GrantApplication as requested.Submits and monitors purchase requisition deliveries for specific Early Childhood worksite.Supervises and archives a twice-yearly inventory of early childhood department assets and technology.Serves as the Special Education Administrator and oversees the implementation of IEP's at supervised site andsatellite classrooms.Serves as the 504 Administrator and oversees the implementation of 504's at supervised sites and satelliteclassrooms.Investigates all concerns, complaints and incidents involving students and/or staff at supervised site and satelliteclassrooms and reports this information to the Early Childhood Director.Addresses parent concerns by coordinating and managing parent & teacher meetings and/or by using the MLSSprocess. Concerns can range from student attendance, behavior, social emotional development or academic lack ofprogress, etc.Works with Early Childhood Leadership to plan student activities to include field trips, required FamilyEngagement activities and summer enrichment programs. Attends and supervises all student activities.Works with Elementary Principals from feeder pattern to ensure smooth/solid transition between PreK andKindergarten for all students.Informs the Early Childhood Director promptly of all extreme concerns, dangers, and/or disasters.Evaluates job performance of employees to ensure effectiveness.Performs other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESConducts certified staff observations/evaluations. Develops and implements Growth Plans for staff if needed.Authorized to conduct disciplinary conferences with early childhood staff if warranted. Collaborates withstakeholders for program improvement. Analyses student performance and growth. Addresses complaints andresolves problems.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability tocoordinate campus support operations.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE? Master's Degree, M.A.? NM Administrative License? NM Early Childhood License (preferred)? Campus level administrative experience (preferred).CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS? NM Administrative License? NM Level Three Teaching License? Early Childhood License preferred? Bilingual Certification or TESOL Endorsement preferredSupplemental InformationTECHNOLOGY SKILLS? Ability to use multiple virtual instructional platforms.? Proficient in Google Suites? Proficient in Microsoft Office SuitesLANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, orgovernmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability toeffectively present information and respond to questions from staff, community, and students.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of planeand solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, andproportions to practical situations.REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
