Whatever your career goals may be, let SMSC help get you there!Job Overview: Provides primary nursing services for patients; including SMSC Community members and their families, SMSC employees and their families, and Native Americans living in Scott County, in a clinic setting. Also provide health and wellness education for individual patients and groups as requested.Starting Pay: $36 - $46 depending on experience and education.Maximize Your Impact: The Responsibilities You'll Own:Provides primary nursing services to include assessment, clinical tasks, and triaging in person and over the phone.Works within a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional, patient-centered care. Delegates nursing tasks as necessary and appropriate to other nursing staff to include LPNs and CMAs.Independently conducts initial assessment and medical treatment for SMSC employees who are injured at work and secures specimens for drug and alcohol testing.Administers health screenings for employees to include biometric testing, health questionnaires, and makes recommendations to reduce or eliminate health risks. Provides health opportunities for staff on various health-related topics as requested.Reviews immunization records and administers immunizations.Documents patient information within the confidential patient record.Complies with HIPAA privacy laws and regulations and maintains all patient information confidentially and securely.Obtains lab samples and processes CLIA-waived lab tests.Required Experience:Successful completion of an Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by and in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Nursing.Good computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as other health care or business-related software as needed.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must hold and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
