Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Psychiatrist (Inpatient) Locum Opportunity DescriptionAn inpatient psychiatry opportunity is available starting around August 1 (with some flexibility) and continuing on an ongoing basis. This role follows a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule and offers a mix of inpatient care, emergency department evaluations, and hospital consults. The position involves treating both adult and adolescent populations in a collaborative, team-based environment. About the facilityThis is an inpatient hospital-based psychiatry unit with a total of 24 beds, including a dedicated 6-bed adolescent unit and a general adult unit. The psychiatrist will also provide consult services to the emergency department and general hospital. The inpatient unit is located adjacent to the hospital, allowing for easy access between departments. Telemedicine may be utilized at times for consult support. The care team includes APPs (when available), social workers, and a discharge planning team.
