You’ll help keep the property safe, clean, and comfortable — not just for residents, but for their peace of mind!What You’ll Do:Respond to maintenance requests with a calm, helpful approachComplete preventive maintenance and safety inspectionsTrack parts, supplies, and property inventoryAssist with vendor coordination and project oversightUse AppFolio to manage work orders and updatesSee our job description below for further details!What You Bring:Solid knowledge of home repair, systems, and safety practicesRespect and empathy for older adultsOrganized, reliable, and solution-focusedWillingness to learn and grow with our supportWhy Join Us?We’re a “purpose-driven” team that seeks to empower and enrich employees professionally and personallyOngoing training, support and educationYour voice matters — we’re here to support your successEmployee Benefits:PTO, Paid Holidays -including your birthday, Employee Incentive ProgramGeneral Schedule:4 Hour Shifts / M-FAvailability for After-Hours Emergency calls; required.AAPG Position:Maintenance TechnicianClassification: NON-EXEMPTSupervisor: Community ManagerLeadership: Maintenance DirectorThe primary target employee to fill this position should possess drive and initiative to lead the communitythey serve with an effective maintenance program that provides support for member maintenance requests,property maintenance work, and efficient preventative maintenance and services in coordination withproprty contracts and service providersMaintenance Technician Position Duties & Responsibilities SAFETY FIRST- Maintain safe work areas that are free of hazards Provide prompt response and follow up to all member maintenance requests Use of systems-based software to track and maintain a record of progress on maintenance requests Precision attention to detail and organization towards site specific maintenance plan Develop and maintain an efficient preventive maintenance schedule for a variety of Cooperative equipment and systems (Example: HVAC equipment, smoke and CO detectors) Complete weekly inspections of the common areas and equipment, annual building inspections Remove and dispose of trash and recycling according to the community's recycling programs Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and reorder as needed by talking to your Direct Supervisor Other duties, as assigned by AAPGSeasonal and Other Duties & Responsibilities: Available to respond to Emergency/After-Hour Calls; on occasion Assist with shoveling snow or applying ice melt in main walkways Rotation of dumpsters or removal of trash, debris, and other recyclingNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
