Livestream Technical Coordinator
UUCLB seeks professional technical assistance on a part time basis to support for our Sunday morning church programs. Schedule to be determined with candidate. The Livestream Technical Coordinator will manage the technical aspects of Sunday services, collaborating with the Minister, staff, and volunteers to ensure seamless multi-platform community participation and engagement. Up to 8 hrs/ week depending on needs. Sunday mornings required, 8:30 am-12 pm.Technical Requirements:Proficiency in OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) for livestreaming and ProPresenter for service presentations. Experience with Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini for live video switching is beneficial. Crucially, the role requires advanced skill in operating PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras, including precise control of zoom, focus, and exposure in real-time. Must be capable of monitoring feed quality simultaneously on multiple platforms, specifically Zoom and YouTube, to maintain high-quality broadcasts (1080p at 30 FPS minimum). The position demands expertise in managing stream stability, minimizing latency, optimizing bandwidth, and ensuring content security across digital platforms.Essential Responsibilities:Create, gather, and conform assets for Sunday and event presentations using ProPresenterCoordinate audio, video aspects of UUCLB's multi-platform worship experience using OBS and PTZ camera controlsLivestream Sunday services on Zoom and YouTubeServe as Lead and staff contact for A/V volunteer teamAdministrate YouTube channelModerate livestream content with staff to stay compliant with applicable copyright laws and regulationsAdditional Responsibilities: Provide lay leaders training and support for technology useProvide technical support for meetings and events, by arrangementTrimming of the YouTube videos via creator studioArchive, organize and backup existing assets and video recordingsAddress and communicate any violations of YouTube community guidelinesMaintain YouTube livestream capability operationalMaintain up to date documentation on the livestream process for A/V volunteersAbout UUCLB: The Unitarian Universalist Church of Long Beach has had a presence in Long Beach for over 100 years.
