We are a growing company and if you share these same values then you may be the "perfect fit" for our team.As the Warehouse Operations Manager at Blue Sky, you will work as the leader of a dynamic and passionate team to create accountability, enhance communication, and focus on improvements to efficiency and profitability within our warehouse. The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the warehouse and all roles, inventory management, and logistics of getting needed parts/equipment to the field professionals. The primary roles, but not limited to, are as follows: coordinating needed activities, maintaining accurate inventory levels, developing and training staff on best practices and ensuring compliance with safety standards and organizational policies.Job ResponsibilitiesStaffingMaking sure all shifts are covered properly for the business's needsFilling in during times of vacation/sicknessParticipate in interviews to help identify the best candidates for new hiresInventory ManagementUtilize the inventory management systemMaintain proper levels of needed inventory utilizing min/max levelsExpedite jobs needing to be staged and same day deliveries base on available resources (runners, uber, department apprentices)Utilize proper sourcing of needed materialsEnsure the quality of products is up to the business's standards by collaborating with senior leaders and department managersCoordinate material returns properly and efficientlyStaff Supervision and TrainingManage and solve team conflicts and complicationsProvide and document training in all necessary areas to the entire warehouse staffParticipate and deliver content in monthly staff meetingsDevelop and utilize job duty check lists for daily/weekly tasks that must be completedSafety and ComplianceReinforce the business's safety guidelines at the individual levelIdentify and mitigate any safety hazards to prevent accidents/injuriesAttend regular safety committee meetings to keep the warehouse operations aligned with the company standardsEquipment and Facilities MaintenanceEnsure the entire property is well maintained and keeps a professional appearanceEnsure all warehouse equipment is operational and coordinate any repairs neededReporting and DocumentationMaintain accurate reports of company assets (tools and inventory)Help analyze and prepare data to present to senior leadershipReport KPIs to the warehouse team on a regular basisContinuous Improvement of OperationsEvaluate Current operations to identify areas that need to be refined and perfectedWork with other department leaders to make sure expectations and results are alignedUse KPIs to highlight potential problem areas and develop improvement plansSkills And QualificationsStrong Leadership and Team Management SkillsSelf-MotivatedExcellent Organizational SkillsBasic computer skills (Microsoft Suite)Experience in warehouse operations, logistics and inventory managementStrong Problem-Solving SkillsGreat Communication SkillsRequirementsTo adequately perform the duties of this job the employee is regularly and routinely required to sit; stand, walk, stoop, use hands to finger, handle controls; hear, and talk. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50lbs and up because the equipment being used can be heavy and cumbersome. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work - employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons.  The work environment will subject employees to continual interruptions and changing priorities.
