Machine Builder - Assembler

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Key Accountabilities: 1. Demonstrate conduct consistent with Wardcraft’s culture, values, policies, and commitment to quality. 2. Perform machine assembly, assembling products from blueprints, work orders, or established standards. 3. Wiring of electrical components. 4. Accurately record labor hours, materials, and other required information to the appropriate work orders in the company’s business system. 5. Assist with preparing completed equipment for shipment, installation, or customer delivery as needed. 6. Inspect completed work to verify proper assembly, alignment, operation, and compliance with Wardcraft’s quality requirements. 7. Communicate material shortages, drawing discrepancies, quality concerns, equipment problems, or potential production delays to the supervisor.8. Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Shipping, and other departments to support project schedules and the timely completion and delivery of equipment. 9. Properly use, inspect, maintain, and store company tools and equipment. 10. Works in harmony with all other departments.11. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area. 12. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and required personal protective equipment practices. 13. All other duties as assigned. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, assembly drawings, work orders, and basic electrical or controls diagrams. General knowledge of mechanical and electrical machine components. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment safely and accurately. Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to perform basic math and measurements. Basic computer skills and the ability to enter time and material information accurately. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with employees across departments. Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Work Environment While performing this job, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical components, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, metalworking fluids, and coolant. The work environment may be loud and may experience seasonal temperature changes, including heat during the summer and cold during the winter. The employee must wear required personal protective equipment and follow all applicable Wardcraft safety policies and MIOSHA requirements. While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Use hands and fingers to handle, position, assemble, and operate tools, parts, and equipment. Reach with hands and arms. Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in or around machinery. Communicate and hear sufficiently to exchange information and recognize instructions and workplace warnings. Lift, carry, push, pull, or move materials and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds, with assistance or material-handling equipment when appropriate. The position requires close vision, distance vision, color recognition, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
