Mars - Packaging Machine OperatorPackaging Machine Operators are packaging system experts responsible for operating and adjusting designated machinery, ensuring safety, efficiency, operational compliance and product quality, while actively driving continuous improvement.Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDMechanical aptitudeBasic troubleshooting skillsProficient in MS office and email communicationsPhysical Requirements:Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hoursCapable of working in hot, cold and wet conditionsProficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.Preferred Qualifications:Previous manufacturing experienceKnowledge of food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)Operational experiencePackaging and/or process experienceKey Responsibilities:Operate packaging equipment to complete the process and finished products for shipping, following all routine SOPs and specificationsLoad packaging materials, clear jams, reset faults, perform changeovers, conduct quality checks, adhere to GMP standards and report any issuesPerform basic preventative maintenance tasks as assigned (e.g., lubrication, inspections) and submit corrective work order requests into the MIS systemComply with all area Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and reporting safety hazardsPerform ad hoc tasks as neededTotal Rewards:Annual Bonus and Merit IncreasesBenefits Starting Day One: Medical, Vision, and DentalUp to 6% 401(k) matchVacation timeTuition reimbursementShort/Long-Term Disability18 weeks parental leave
