Then we deliver, install and maintain those systems for maximum team performance.Job SummaryWe’re searching for a Lead Installation Technician/Site Supervisor to perform and oversee a variety of integration tasks as assigned by the Project Manager to ensure 8K Solutions’ projects are executed accurately and within schedule.This position ensures that Installation technicians assigned to the specific site/job have successfully performed the following to the 8K standard of quality and timeliness:Cables have been cut, terminated, and installed per all of the documentation provided Physical installation of any/all equipment as indicated in the relevant Rack System Drawings has been accomplishedTools and testing equipment are properly maintainedWorkspace is always kept and left clean and organized every day on the siteSets example for a team environment at all times, ensuring collaboration and communication are a priorityJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee physical installation of a variety of video camera technology into customer locations, mostly sports stadiums and practice fields/coaches’ roomsEnsure that assigned technicians have accurately cut cables for bench fabrication to assigned lengths; and ensure that sorting, flagging and cutting of cables is done for rack lacing and/or is shipped to project sites as directed by project plansEnsure for 8K install team that there are prepared and labeled cables for fabricationSupervise that test cable terminations for all Broadcast, Network and A/V connectors have been executedAbility to read and understand cable wire lists as well as project drawings and documentation for cable fabrication so that installation by 8K is supervised with confidenceBe able to guarantee that preparation of equipment racks for staging of equipment, wire lacing including installation of power strips, grounding bars, jack-fields, etc. has been accomplished.Quality check that mounting of equipment into racks, terminate all wiring and connections to equipment as per the technical drawings has been accomplishedInspect building and wire custom panels from engineering drawings that have been installed by 8K SolutionsSupervise the fiber optic cable handling, installation termination and testingProvide feedback for efficiencies as encountered during fabricationMaintain an organized work environmentResponsible for maintaining tools and test equipment, including inventoryMaintain daily record of time worked on specific projects for all technicians assignedMay be required to train new Installation TechniciansJOB REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of 5 years' experience in completing day-to-day integration tasks for live events, broadcasting or related field/industryAbility to manage a fluctuating workload in a deadline driven environmentAbility to use active listening skills and communicate potential issues to managementSafety-minded; ability to follow safety rules, regulations, and procedures and make safety an important component of all shop operationsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentProvide a consistent level of technical performance and oversightAbility to effectively respond to a very flexibility work schedulePeriodic heavy and seasonal overtimeMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:5+ years of industry related integration experience is requiredDemonstrated understanding of engineering and design project executionProficiency with various broadcast systems and equipmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsMicrosoft Office and MS Project Software Proficiency CTS Certs are a plus PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS May Include:Ability to use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objectsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusMust be able to walk or stand up to 8 hours at a timeAbility to bend, squat, kneel on both knees, and climb stairs frequentlyAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently Ability to carry 50 lbs. a distance of 50 feet occasionallyAbility to pinch (10 lbs.) and grip (50 lbs.) related broadcast equipmentAbility to horizontally transfer 40 lbs.Ability to ascend and descend ladders
