Location: Seattle, WAWe are seeking an experienced technical designer to play a key role in the planning, design, development, and delivery of innovative public infrastructure projects. This position will support a wide range of projects, including airports, seaports, light rail systems, wastewater treatment plants, and environmental facilities. We have a passion for excellence that we have used to successfully build infrastructure in Washington, Colorado, and California for 25 years.Job Description:In this role, you will support a variety of public-sector projects, including the planning and design of systems for light rail stations, parking garages, municipal buildings, and other public facilities. You will work on projects for clients such as Sound Transit, the State of Washington, King County, and cities throughout Washington State, and will be expected to:Produce drawings via BIM modeling in the Revit environment Produce construction drawings in compliance with client’s:— Design requirements — Design standards— Code requirements— CADD and BIM standards— Quality proceduresCoordinate with other designers to produce an integrated design, resolve issues and eliminate clashesMake review comments and resolve comments by others in Bluebeam Studio— Interdisciplinary design review— Quality Control review— Client design reviewProduce written content for the Basis of Design ReportWrite technical specifications in CSI formatPrepare and present technical reports, data visualizations, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.Engage with public agencies, clients, and subcontractors, maintaining professional and ethical standards.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or architecture Strong technical communication skills in EnglishMinimum 5 years’ relevant experience in the A&E design environmentSoftware Competencies:— Revit— Microsoft Office— BluebeamStrong writing and editing skills of the English language.Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to apply appropriate communication techniques to various audiences.Ability to be organized, accurate, and timelyQuality-focused and disciplined in follow-throughAdditional Preferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) License or EITAble to work in Seattle office 3-4 times per weekSoftware Competencies:— AutoCad — Civil 3DExperience working with public sector agenciesBe located within the Greater Seattle Area, or able to relocate.Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S.The position is Full Time.
