Work That Matters, People Who Care.Job DescriptionWHAT'S THE JOB?Janitors are a vital asset to our team and play an integral role in ensuring the cleanliness of site. Janitors work with the Lead Housekeeper, Camp Manager, and the Recruitment Coordinator to follow the company standards for quality and site cleanliness.This position is safety sensitive and requires a criminal record check.The position involves a remote work lifestyle in a camp setting with the following amenities:All meals and accommodations are providedTravel is provided to and from the site locations from designated locations in Winnipeg, Thompson, Flin Flon and The Pas.Private room with cable televisionAccess to Wi-FiAccess to laundry facilities and detergentsAccess to a gym and common areasKey responsibilities include:Clean and sanitize all common areas, including the gym, rec room, boot room and front lobbyGarbage and recycling collection and removalFloor care, including sweeping prior to using the T-300 floor scrubberClean and sanitize all public washroomsClean and sanitize management offices as well as the front desk areaRe-fill hand sanitizer stations throughout site, ensuring they never run outMaintain a safe working environment at all timeQualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Related experience in remote lodge setting or hotel/institutional environment; commercial cleaning is considered an assetCurrent First Aid certification is an assetKnowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, equipment and productsA team-player who is committed to providing client satisfactionMust have valid government issued photo ID for travel to siteMust have the ability to complete a Criminal Background CheckMust be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testingAbility to handle the following physical demands:Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbsClimb ladders or stairsStand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended periods of timePerform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both handsPerform work with arms at full lengthWork with arms above shoulder heightAdditional InformationWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?Enjoy excellent work-life balance with a 2 week on/ 1 week off rotationAbility to expand skills in a large camp atmosphereWhereas other companies are downsizing, we are growing!Be #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leaderWork schedule and remuneration:Janitors work on a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/1 week off. Site locations are in remote settings, requiring either air travel to site, or via ground on our shuttle. You may be required to work nights, weekdays, weekends, and general holidays.
