A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM • Patient ratio of 1:5 • Every other weekend required (non-negotiable) • Float within scope as needed by facility • No on-call requirements • 2 years of experience required • First-time travelers accepted • SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Experience required in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Interpretation of Dysrhythmias • Community hospital experience preferred • Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks • 24-hour orientation required • Royal blue scrubs required • Epic charting system • Care for adult and geriatric patients with common medical conditions including diabetes, hypertension, CAD, ESRD, chronic respiratory illnesses, and arrhythmias • Work on new unit with bedside monitors capable of telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse ox monitoring • Unit staffing includes 2 RNs and 1 tech per shift with 24/7 house supervisor coverage • During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams Facility: This acute care hospital operates 286 staffed beds and features a brand-new medical surgical telemetry unit built from the ground up.
