Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Patient ratios of 1:5-6 across all shifts • Every other weekend requirement • No on-call responsibilities • May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs between like units • 2 years of nursing experience required • First-time travelers accepted • South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • NIH stroke scale certification preferred • Telemetry competency required • Previous charge experience preferred • Community hospital experience preferred • 24 hours of orientation provided • Royal blue scrubs required • Epic charting system • Free parking available • Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks • Block schedule accommodations may be requested but not guaranteed • Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including diabetes, hypertension, CAD, seizures, CVA, TIA, and chronic renal disease • Work with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary • Hurricane season assignment to emergency response teams may be required from June through November Facility: This Level III trauma acute care hospital features 286 staffed beds and serves as a comprehensive healthcare facility providing advanced medical services to the community. The facility utilizes Epic charting systems and maintains a 43-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 36 patients.
