Jr. Technician/Laser Tracker Operator

You will be assisting the Sr. technician in providing on-site service solutions directly for our customers. These services make an impressive, positive impact to their process efficiency and profitability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating a laser tracker (Leica, FARO, API etc.), preferably in an industrial environment
BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar or 3+ years 3D metrology experience is preferred.
Mechanical aptitude
Understanding of mathematical principles
Self-starter with strong work ethic
Proficient in MS Windows and all common MS Office applications and AutoCAD
Some experience with at least one of the following applications: Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor, BuildIT, Spatial Analyzer, CAM2 or Polyworks.
Minimal Requirements / Qualifications:
Mechanical/technical background and relevant work experience.
Ability to pass pre-employment and periodic drug & background screens, per client requirements.
Physical activities may include standing, lifting, pushing, climbing, carrying, and operating heavy objects/equipment.
Ability to read and interpret CAD and mechanical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
Self-starter, innovative, willing to develop and install new tools and processes.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Interpersonal and communication skills amongst team members and clients.
Proficient in MS Windows and all common MS Office applications
Location / Travel
This position will be based in Longview, TX. (Must live within 1 hour of office)
Travel domestically about 50-70% of the time, with potential international and offshore travel.
Valid drivers’ license with a clean driving record.
Required to obtain a US Passport and TWIC card if neither is currently possessed.
