Other duties not listed here may be assigned as necessary to ensure proper operations.OUR MISSIONThe Scan clerk is first and foremost responsible for guest relations and satisfaction. The primary responsibility of the Scan Coordinator is the accuracy of price scanning in the store. It is of the utmost importance that the scanned prices charged to our guests match the prices shown on the shelf tags and signs. This is important, not only for guest satisfaction and efficiency reasons, but it is also important to pass the price scanning internal audits and inspections conducted by the Department of Agriculture.Key Responsibilities:When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guestResponsible for receiving, verifying, and hanging shelf tags and signs at store levelAchieve a 1% or less scan error rate required by United SupermarketsResponsible for assisting with hiring, training and performance management of Scan ClerksPerform the placing of signs and tags on shelves for changes, as advertised, and temporary reduction items in accordance with established proceduresResponsible to work with department managers to minimize missing shelf tags dailyResponsible for shelf sign and shelf tag maintenance in the storePerforms other duties as requested or required by managementKey Requirements:Must be 18 years of age or olderHigh School Diploma or equivalentMust have a minimum one year background in retail operationsMust be self-motivatedStrong organizational skills, attention to detail and punctualityAbility to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitudeAbility to work in efficient and controlled mannerAbility to perform 10-key and computer operationsAbility to read and understand store application procedure manuals and implement the direction in performance of daily dutiesStrong interpersonal skills for developing positive and efficient working relationships with partners, guests, and team membersResponsible for sufficient back up trainingPerform all other physical aspects of the job including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, and walkingMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to function as a team member and get along with othersUltimate Service Superior Performance Positive Impact
