Facility Security SupervisorThe Strategic Operations, Analysis, and Research (SOAR) Sector of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc. is seeking a Facility Security Supervisor to lead and mature a growing classified security program in support of U.S. Department of War programs. In this role, you will provide day-to-day leadership over facility and information security operations, managing a team that includes Information System Security professionals (ISSM/ISSO) and a Facility Security Officer (FSO). You will work closely with the Senior Management Official (SMO), the SOAR Deputy Sector Security Manager, and program leadership to ensure compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and related Department of War security requirements.This is an on-site leadership role offering direct influence over security operations, team development, and program execution within a trusted, mission-focused environment. The right candidate will need to be willing and able to be the first point of contact in an emergency.*Target Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 (commensurate with experience) plus a total compensation package including ESOP. Relocation assistance negotiable*What You'll DoSecurity Leadership & Program ManagementLead and mentor a team of Facility and Information Security professionalsOversee daily security operations supporting classified programsEstablish and maintain strong working relationships with government customers and internal stakeholdersFacility & Personnel SecurityManage all aspects of the Collateral Security ProgramEnsure completion of security indoctrinations, debriefings, training, and briefingsOversee personnel security processes, including clearance management and SF-312 executionProvide personnel security guidance aligned with the 13 adjudicative guidelinesCompliance & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DoW manuals, and related directivesApply physical security concepts to enhance defense-in-depthMaintain IDS and access control systems in accordance with DoW and UL 2050 standardsSupport CMMC Level 2 compliance effortsProgram & Information Security SupportInterface with Program Managers on classified efforts, including DD254 developmentCoordinate classified material handling, storage, transfer, and inventory controlSupport RMF-related activities and systems as applicable (e.g., SIPRNet, DAAG)Required Qualifications:U.S. citizenshipMust have a current / active Top Secret clearanceBachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience OR 12+ years of related experience in lieu of a degreeAbility to professionally interface with DCSA, defense contractors, and government representativesAs First Point of Contact (POC) - must be willing and able to report to office immediately if the alarm is triggeredExperience as an Industry Facility SupervisorExtensive knowledge of NISPOMPreferred Qualifications:Experience with 32 CFR Part 117 and DoD Directive 5200.01 (Volumes 1–4)Working knowledge of RMF, DAAG, and SIPRNetExperience with DISS, NBIS, NISS, eAPP, or similar systemsExperience drafting and reviewing DD254sCDSE FSO Curriculum for Possessing FacilitiesApplied Research Associates, Inc. is an employee-owned international research and engineering company recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences.
