The University has six academic schools, including Georgia's flagship aviation program, that support its mission to educate and graduate inspired, lifelong learners whose scholarship and careers enhance the state.Job SummaryThis position provides administrative, fiscal, and operational support for the Office of Technology Resources, including front office coordination, purchasing and budget support, and user account administration for faculty, staff, and students.ResponsibilitiesBudget and Purchasing Support (40%) - Prepares and submits purchase requisitions and requests for OTR and Technology Fee budgets in accordance with USG and MGA procurement requirements.Receives technology items and assists with tracking and documentation of technology assets and inventory to ensure accurate records and compliance with university and USG policies.Performs monthly budget reconciliation and assists with reporting and fiscal tracking.Account Management (30%) - Assists with day-to-day administration of faculty, staff, and student technology accounts.Performs data entry and updates in systems such as Active Directory and Banner in accordance with security and access control procedures.Safeguards sensitive information in accordance with FERPA and institutional security policies.Receptionist and Clerical Support (30%) - Coordinates front office operations, including phone, email, and in-person inquiries.Orders department supplies and materials.Schedules department events and manage conference rooms using electronic calendaring systems.Creates and maintains help desk service requests and enhancement entries; ensures accurate information and refers requests to appropriate personnel.Performs related duties as assigned.Required QualificationsEducational RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentOther Required QualificationsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Required ExperienceSufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with having a similar position for two or more years.Demonstrated experience with administrative support functions, including purchasing, budgeting, and inventory tracking.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesKnowledge of modern office practices and procedures.Knowledge of university and departmental policies and procedures.Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.Knowledge of electronic document management and recordkeeping practicesSkill in prioritizing and organizing work.Skill in the use of office technology including computers, scanners, multifunction devices, and collaboration platforms.Skill in oral and written communication.USG Core ValuesThe University System of Georgia is comprised of our 25 institutions of higher education and learning as well as the System Office.
