Estimator (Water Works)

Our Client is looking for a detail-oriented Estimator to join a growing commercial construction team in the Chicago market. This individual will play a critical role in preconstruction, helping to drive accurate pricing, competitive bids, and successful project planning. This is a great opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, corporate interiors, retail, and mixed-use developments.Prepare detailed cost estimates and takeoffs for commercial construction projectsSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bidsAssist in developing project budgets, scopes, and value engineering optionsCollaborate with project managers, architects, and clients during preconstructionIdentify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and scope gapsMaintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors in the Chicago marketBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)~3–7+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction~ Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and pricing~ Experience with estimating software (Bluebeam, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar)~ Competitive base salary + bonus potential~ Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision)~Paid time off + holidays~ Strong pipeline of projects and stable backlog~ Opportunity for career growth into Senior Estimator or Preconstruction Manager
