Manufacturing Engineering Manager
The Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Manager is responsible for leading the Manufacturing Engineering function for the Engine Assembly programs. The primary responsibility is to guide the Engineering team to develop and launch assembly processes that meet all objectives for safety, quality, delivery and cost. This includes performing assessments for process changes and investment requirements for cost and risk reduction, implementation of process and environmental standards, and supporting all activities including deployment of advanced ME tools. The ME Manager will support Engine Manufacturing Plants located in Dundee & Trenton Michigan, Kokomo Indiana, Toledo Ohio, and Saltillo, Mexico.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or technical equivalentMinimum 10 years manufacturing experience, Powertrain experience a plusMinimum 5 years progressive engineering experienceMust be able to work and interact with all levels of the organizationMust have strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skillsAbility to implement SIS principles and ability to lead effectively in a bargaining unit environmentGood knowledge in the implementation of Early Equipment Management and Early Product ManagementKnowledge of Focused Improvement methods and toolsStrong skills in resolving complex issues affecting overall operationsPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree preferredAbility to synthesize technical data and analysis into an executive summary format for presentationProduct or Process knowledge of transmissions, engines or EDM'sControls and system architectural knowledgeOur Benefits — Designed With You In MindComprehensive Health & Well-being CoverageFrom your very first day, you’ll have access to medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage — ensuring you and your family stay healthy and protected.
