Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - ED ER/n/nJob Details:/n• Reports directly to the on-duty Nursing Supervisor and Charge Nurse/n• Handle a wide spectrum of medical conditions, maladies, and injuries in the emergency department/n• Must be able to multi-task efficiently to provide premium care to patients/n• Assess and treat patients quickly, especially during onset of acute illness or trauma/n• Assist the emergency room team leader and acute care nurse as directed/n• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required/n• Current California nursing license in good standing required/n• 1 year experience as an Emergency Department nurse preferred/n• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, and CPR/n• NRP and TNCC required within one year of hire date/n• Conduct individualized patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on immediate patient conditions/n• Perform appropriate treatments as ordered by physician in accurate and timely manner/n• Perform assigned tasks including EKGs, blood draws, IV starts, and maintain clean work areas/n• Provide individualized patient and family education/n• Document patient assessment findings and responses to nursing interventions/n• Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to appropriate protocols/n• Adhere to dress code with neat and professional appearance/n• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work intermittently sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and walking/n• Willingness to work beyond normal working hours when necessary/n/nFacility:/nThis critical access hospital operates as a 121-bed facility featuring 22 acute care beds and 99 long-term care beds.
