All data is handled with strict confidentiality and in accordance with our privacy policy.Position SummaryThe purpose of the program, TRiO Student Support Services, is to provide academic support and coaching to Pima Community College students with disabilities, with the overall goal of graduation or transfer.To be eligible for our program, students must be able to earn a degree, with an emphasis on transfer to a university, and must have a documented disability, including learning, physical, vision and hearing, mental health related, and psychiatric disabilities.We have a small, quirky, non-traditional team that thrives on dedication, collaboration, humor, and out of the box thinking.The TRiO Student Services Specialist 2 position supports program participants toward the goal of academic success and balance in life. While the focus is on academic advising, there is so much more to this job. We work on a case management model so that students are connected to a specific specialist and, through that relationship, can build opportunities. This position requires the ability to adapt and individualize when working with students, and to cooperate and collaborate with other staff. The work schedule for this position is flexible and may include working evenings and weekends. Continued employment in the position is contingent upon continued funding through designated external sources. This grant is set to expire on 08/31/2030.
