ENGINEER (CIVIL)

Title: Engineer (Civil)Reports to: Project ManagerLocation: Flanders or Hackensack, NJSalary Range: $95,000 – $115,000, based on experience and qualificationsBrief DescriptionCandidates shall have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of applicable local, county, and state rules, regulations and industry practices. Familiarity with public bidding procedures and Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 5:34) is necessary. Duties include the development of standard professional engineering design deliverables including performing engineering calculations, engineered drawings and documents, equipment specification, construction support, functional checkout support, and system commissioning support. and does other related duties as required. Must have the ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods.Examples Of Work/dutiesActively manages technical project components as well as schedule and budget review and understanding. Serves as the technical Client liaison to bring the technical project components and scope of work to successful completion and to the Client’s satisfaction.Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specifications, and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.Develop equipment data sheets, bill of materials, submittal reviews and approvals, etc.Coordinates work efforts and reviews of work performed by design staff. Supervises and mentors design team to overall project objectives.Develops innovative project approach and assists in the organization and preparation of proposals.Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization and projectDevelops standards and guidelines.Responsible for maintaining licensure and keeping up with industry standards and software.Note: The examples of work for this title are for illustrative purposes only. Conversely, all duties performed on the job may not be listed.Requirements (education, Licensing, Certifications, Etc.)Possess a valid driver’s license.Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.4-8+ years of related experience.PE License track preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Proficient in AutoCAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus).This is a full-time position located at one of our Headquarters Office in Flanders, NJ or our Northeast Office in Hackensack, NJ. The work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
