Toddler 1 assistant teacher

The Learning Lodge is looking for a full-time Toddler 1 assistant teacher. Responsibilities: Classroom Support & Supervision Assist the lead teacher in supervising toddlers at all times Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment Help maintain daily routines and classroom schedules Support smooth transitions (arrival, circle time, meals, naps, outdoor play) Child Care & Development Assist with diapering, toileting, handwashing, and hygiene routines Help toddlers with feeding (meals and snacks), following safety guidelines Comfort children, respond to emotional needs, and support social development Encourage independence (self-feeding, walking, simple choices) Learning Activities Help set up and clean up age-appropriate learning activities Support toddlers during play, music, art, sensory, and movement activities Reinforce early skills like language development, motor skills, and social interaction Read books, sing songs, and engage in simple, interactive play Health & Safety Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations Monitor children for signs of illness or injury and report concerns Sanitize toys, surfaces, and materials regularly Maintain proper child-to-teacher ratios at all times Communication & Documentation Share observations with the lead teacher Assist with daily reports (meals, diapers, naps, behaviors) Communicate professionally with parents when directed by the lead teacher Teamwork & Professionalism Work collaboratively with teachers and staff Follow classroom policies and center procedures Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development Model positive behavior and respectful communication Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid time off Work Location: In person
