Material Handler Forklift Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and pallet jacks, to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, materials handling, and OSHA safety standards. Prior experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and warehouse management systems is highly valued. The Forklift Operator will play a vital role in ensuring smooth logistics operations and maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload goods Perform order picking and put away accuracy and other warehouse management systems Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, or storage areas with precision and safety compliance Assist in shipping & receiving processes to ensure accurate inventory movement Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe work environment Support warehouse distribution activities including materials handling and inventory management Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage space and workflow efficiency Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse work area Skills Proven experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and materials handling techniques Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control Ability to perform lifting pushing or pulling of 10-50 pounds safely and efficiently Experience in shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes Excellent attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety protocols Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
