Desktop Refresh Technician - End User Computing

\*Position Title: Desktop Refresh Technician – End User Computing (4 Months Project) \*JOB DESCRIPTION The position of Desktop Refresh Technician – End User Computing performs imaging, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade of end user computing equipment and peripheral equipment at customer locations. Any incumbent in this position is expected to perform all the duties of this job description at a minimum level of satisfaction as determined by this position's ADSL managers and/or the ADSL client(s) this position may be assigned to support. If the incumbent is given a separate job description or a different protocol/guideline or expectation by an ADSL client, the incumbent will immediately notify this position’s immediate manager at ADSL so that the ADSL manager can ensure the ADSL and client job descriptions are compatible and aligned. The incumbent in this position understands that the "at will" employment relationship which ADSL has with all of its employees also applies to the assignment of the incumbent to an ADSL client. Therefore, the incumbent understands that an ADSL client may end the incumbent's assignment with the client at any time and at the ADSL client's sole discretion. In such cases, ADSL's continued employment of the incumbent in this position will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and be further subject to ADSL's business needs and the terms of the "at-will" relationship which ADSL has with all of its employees. Essential Duties: PC & Hardware Support · Perform on-site installation and setup of desktop PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals. · Provide remote hands support for IT hardware staging (PCs, servers, switches, etc.), including physical placement, unboxing, labeling, and power/network connectivity checks — configuration is handled remotely by others. · Support device imaging, OS upgrades, and software installations. · Depot & Lifecycle Support · Participate in device lifecycle: receiving, staging, imaging, deploying, and assisting with decommissioning and secure disposal. · Support depot operations: diagnostics, hardware repair, device reimaging, and staging of laptops, desktops, and tablets. · Maintain basic asset tracking, including incoming and outgoing equipment. · Documentation & Compliance · Document service activity, imaging steps, inventory usage, and technical work performed. · Follow local site SOPs and contribute to updates (e.g., shipping checklists, imaging guides). · Ensure work aligns with infrastructure standards, safety protocols, and IT compliance. \*JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS 3–5 years of IT field support or hardware/software troubleshooting experience in: · PC imaging, deployment, installation, and end-user support · Remote hands staging of infrastructure hardware · Depot workflows and basic network troubleshooting Familiarity with: · ServiceNow, Active Directory, SCCM/Intune, SOTI · Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint) Certifications: · A+ Certification a plus Job Type: Temporary Experience: * Desktop support: 5 years (Required) Ability to Commute: * Decatur, IL (Required) Work Location: In person
