Overview As a Senior Platform Engineer, you design, implement, and support core platform infrastructure powering Disney Experiences across parks, resorts, cruises, and consumer products. You focus on data pipelines, on-premise architecture, observability, and DevOps automation to deliver scalable, reliable environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce toil and enable data-driven decisions that enhance guest experiences. Compensation / Benefitsbonus and/or long-term incentive unitsmedical benefitsfinancial benefitscareer growth opportunitiesbenefits dependent on level and position ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver platform capabilities and resolve complex issues for assigned components.Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform.Support platform software lifecycle including upgrades, maintenance, and operational documentation.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments across environments.Improve system performance, availability, and scalability through observability and automation; leverage Splunk where appropriate.Evolve Kubernetes, Harvester, and Splunk platforms.Specify, install, and maintain the physical layer beneath the platform; manage capacity, redundancy, and lifecycle planning.Size hypervisor and Kubernetes hosts and design hardware fault domains for resilience.Diagnose hardware faults using logs, sensors, and vendor diagnostics; manage firmware rollouts with validated baselines.Maintain security, operational, and reliability standards; contribute to runbooks and best practices.Work independently on complex platform initiatives; mentor less-experienced engineers. Key requirementsMinimum 5 years of professional experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, DevOps, or related roles.Strong understanding of DevOps, reliability concepts, monitoring, alerting, redundancy, capacity, and performance analysis.Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or GitLab.Hands-on Linux and/or Windows administration, networking fundamentals, storage/backup, and platform operations.Experience with physical server and datacenter hardware, including iDRAC, iLO, or Redfish, and vendor support case management.Knowledge of server hardware architecture (NUMA, memory channels, PCIe, drive endurance) and hardware error signals.Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code using Ansible and Terraform.Experience with observability and log analytics platforms, preferably Splunk.Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work across teams.Excellent problem-solving, with ability to identify root causes and deliver durable solutions.collaborationcommunicationproblem-solvingAnsibleTerraformCI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab)
