Company DescriptionKnowledge Architects partners with organizations operating within complex mobility and operational environments to modernize workforce readiness, operational learning, and performance improvement through innovative training, technology integration, SOP development, and competency-based workforce solutions.Role DescriptionRail Operations & Technology InstructorContract / ConsultantPosition OverviewKnowledge Architects (KA) is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Rail Operations & Technology Instructor to support the delivery, modernization, and continuous improvement of workforce development programs within complex mobility environments.This role is designed for a highly capable transportation professional who combines deep operational experience with strong instructional capability and a passion for workforce readiness, operational excellence, and technology-enabled learning.The successful candidate will help support the evolution of transportation training beyond traditional classroom instruction by incorporating:simulation-based learning,competency validation,operational readiness strategies,digital reinforcement tools,and continuous workforce performance improvement.This position is ideal for professionals with experience in:rail and transit operations,rail systems manufacturing (OEM environments),aviation operations training,military transportation systems,logistics and transportation technology,or other safety-sensitive operational environments.KA is not seeking a traditional “rulebook-only” instructor. We are seeking a systems-oriented professional who understands the evolving nature of workforce development within modern mobility ecosystems.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Rail Operations & Technology Instructor will:Deliver rail operations, safety, and workforce readiness instruction to frontline transportation personnelFacilitate classroom, field-based, simulation, and technology-assisted learning experiencesSupport operator certification, recertification, and competency validation initiativesReinforce operational procedures, safety protocols, and situational decision-making practicesAssist with curriculum modernization and instructional improvement initiativesSupport the integration of technology-enabled learning methodologies into operational training programsContribute to the development of simulation-based and scenario-based learning environmentsSupport operational documentation, SOP reinforcement, and workforce readiness strategiesProvide coaching, mentoring, and remediation support to trainees and frontline personnelCollaborate with operational leadership and project teams on workforce modernization initiativesUtilize feedback, performance insights, and operational data to support continuous improvement effortsEngagement StructureIndependent Contractor / ConsultantPart-Time or Project-Based EngagementHybrid and Onsite Delivery as NeededTravel May Be Required Based on Client Assignments.
