Senior Property AccountantHybrid | Austin, TX area💰 Compensation: Base salary $95,000–$102,000 + Bonus + Equity📍 Location: Hybrid role located near Bee Cave / less than 30 minutes from Downtown Austin (Onsite Monday–Thursday, remote Fridays)We’re working with a publicly traded hospitality real estate company to hire a Senior Property Accountant to join a collaborative, well-established accounting team. This role offers a mix of ownership, public company exposure, and systems transformation experience—without the constant fire-drill environment many candidates associate with similar roles.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys review, analysis, and asking smart questions, rather than daily transactional accounting.What you’ll be doing:Own the monthly close and financial review for a portfolio of hotel propertiesReview trial balances and financials prepared by property managersAnalyze results, investigate variances, and proactively ask questions to ensure accuracyPrepare and review journal entries and account reconciliationsServe as the first line of review and communication with property managersSupport budgeting and forecasting activitiesAssist with quarterly public company financial reporting, including SEC tie-outs, data integrity checks, and roll forward support (support role—not primary SEC prep)Participate in process improvement, automation, and SOX-compliant controlsGain exposure to a major Oracle Fusion / EPM implementation currently in its early stagesWhat they’re looking for:~4+ years of accounting experienceStrong close and reconciliation backgroundAnalytical mindset with confidence asking “why”Comfortable reviewing others’ work and communicating with multiple stakeholdersBachelor’s degree in Accounting✅ Backgrounds that tend to do well:Public accounting (including Big Four)Property / real estate accountingPublic company accounting(Property accounting experience is helpful but not required.)Why this role stands out:Supportive, team-oriented culturePublic company exposure without constant pressureResume-building systems and transformation experienceCompetitive compensation with bonus and equityStable, well-run organization with long-term career opportunitiesIf you’re open to a hybrid role in the Austin area and are looking for a position that combines ownership, exposure, and stability, this could be a great match!
