This role ensures accurate receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of maintenance-related materials to minimize downtime and support efficient production. The position works closely with maintenance and operations teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely availability of critical spare parts.Key ResponsibilitiesShipping & ReceivingReceive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and documentation complianceUnload deliveries and ensure proper handling and storage of materials, including critical spare partsCoordinate outbound shipments, including returns, repairs, and vendor-related logisticsMaintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments in ERP/CMMS systemsInventory ManagementMaintain accurate inventory of maintenance spare parts, tools, and consumablesPerform routine cycle counts and annual physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepanciesEnsure proper labeling, storage, and organization of parts in stockrooms and warehousesMonitor inventory levels and initiate reorder requests to prevent stockouts and excess inventorySupport inventory optimization strategies, including min/max levels and critical spares identificationMaintenance SupportIssue parts and materials to maintenance technicians in a timely and accurate mannerCollaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure availability of parts for planned and unplanned workAssist in kitting parts for preventive and predictive maintenance activitiesTrack usage trends and provide data to support reliability and cost improvement initiativesSystems & DocumentationMaintain accurate data in ERP and/or CMMS systems (e.g., SAP)Ensure proper documentation of receipts, transfers, and inventory adjustmentsGenerate reports on inventory levels, usage, and discrepancies as neededSafety & ComplianceFollow all safety procedures, including proper material handling and storage practicesEnsure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and ISO standardsMaintain clean, organized, and audit-ready storage areasWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOREducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred3-5 years of experience in shipping/receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations in a manufacturing environmentExperience supporting maintenance or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) inventory strongly preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of inventory control practices and warehouse operationsExperience with ERP/CMMS systems (SAP or similar)Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication and teamwork skillsPhysical Requirements* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting* Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucksWHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFULDemonstrated success implementing proactive initiatives and reducing riskExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detailAbility to build cross-functional partnerships and drive accountabilityHigh energy, ownership mindset, and a visible presence on the plant floorInventory accuracy and cycle count complianceStockout frequency and impact on downtimeOn-time receiving and material availabilityOrganization and audit readiness of storage areasWHAT WE OFFEROpportunity to lead and shape HSE strategy in a growing, state-of-the-art facilityA strong safety-first culture backed by global standards and leadership supportCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageCareer growth and development opportunities within a global organizationExposure to best practices and collaboration across Hydro's international networkWork Environment* Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures* Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Additional Information:This position may have indirect leadership responsibility and influence across all departmentsMust be authorized to work in the United StatesDuties and responsibilities may evolve based on business needsHydro in North America is an Equal Opportunity Employer where all phases of employment are based strictly upon the qualifications of the individual as related to the work requirements of the position.
