Job DetailsDescriptionJob SummaryThe LPN/GPN administers direct patient care to assigned patients under the direction and supervision of a GN/RN. Works collaboratively with all members of the patient interdisciplinary care team. Participates in the care and teaching of the patient. The LPN/GPN observes, evaluates, records, and contributes information to aid the RN/GN in developing the patient plan of care based on age-specific criteria and current patient health care needs.Job SpecificationMinimum Education RequiredMust be a graduate of a nursing program.Minimum Experience RequiredPrefer 1 year of medical surgical experience, but not required.Licensure/Certification RequiredA current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and certification of basic life support.Completed IV start class.SkillsA commitment to service excellence and performance improvement.Must possess nursing knowledge of medical, surgical, and behavioral health nursing to provide direct patient care and observe and document outcomes effectively.Provide patient and family education.Excellent writing, computer, and interpersonal skills.The ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.Critical thinking and excellent communication skills are a must.
