Cashier/Customer Service - part time

Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Part-Time Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer experiences, managing transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming store environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and a passion for retail sales. Previous experience with POS systems and supervising is a plus, along with bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively. Duties Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and integrity Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and stock rotation Support in conducting product demos and promotional activities Ensure excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or calls Assist in supervising store operations during shifts when necessary Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Requirements Previous cashiering experience, preferably in a a restaurant environment Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities are highly desirable Ability to perform basic retail math for transactions and inventory counts Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor Experience in merchandising, stocking, or retail sales is preferred Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively to increase sales opportunities Good phone etiquette and professional appearance required Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility for shifts during store hours This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your retail skills while providing outstanding service to customers.
