In this role, you will apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies using tools such as Cameo and DOORS to support system architecture development. You will play a key role in translating customer requirements into detailed system specifications and supporting the full product lifecycle—from concept through disposal.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform technical planning, system integration, and verification & validation (V&V) activitiesConduct cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses across the total system lifecycleAnalyze systems at all levels, including concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposalTranslate customer and product requirements into comprehensive system solutions within technical, schedule, and cost constraintsPerform functional analysis, timeline analysis, and detailed trade studiesSupport requirements allocation and interface definition to derive hardware and software specificationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance and integrationBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field with 5+ years of experienceOR Master’s degree with 3+ years of experienceOR PhD with 1+ year of experienceExperience in systems engineering and requirements development, management, and analysisExperience with MBSE, software design, or software-aided engineering toolsStrong communication and technical writing skillsAbility to collaborate across multidisciplinary teamsAbility to meet program security requirementsActive DoD Secret clearance requiredAbility to obtain and maintain SAP accessU.S. Citizenship requiredPreferred QualificationsDegree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer EngineeringActive DoD Top Secret clearanceExperience with MBSE tools (Cameo, MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Sparx EA, Enterprise Architect)Experience supporting military or spacecraft systemsExperience with large-scale, complex system development programsStrong background in requirements development, decomposition, and managementExperience in system architecture, CONOPS, and MBSE methodologiesFamiliarity with ICD, IRS, and IDD development and integrationExperience presenting technical briefings to stakeholdersAgile Systems Engineering experienceExperience in Cost Account Management (CAM)Proficiency in SysML or UPDM modeling languagesFamiliarity with DoDAF, UAF, or similar modeling frameworksSysML certification and/or INCOSE CSEP certification preferred
