Senior Financial Analyst

Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr Location This is a remote opportunity, but the organization is keen to hire someone in the Chicagoland area. Responsibilities and Qualifications Katalyst Group is recruiting on behalf of a PE-backed industrial services organization in Chicago. This role is responsible for delivering actionable financial analysis and reporting that improves visibility into cash flow, financial performance, and operational trends across the business. The position supports decision-making through variance analysis, in‑month performance tracking, forecasting, and scenario modeling, while also contributing to annual budgets and reforecasts. Partnering closely with Regional Controllers and operational leaders, the role analyzes market performance, identifies opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency, and supports the development of dashboards and standardized performance reporting. The role also plays a key part in enhancing data consistency, improving reporting processes, supporting ERP and BI tools, and assisting with the financial integration and reporting alignment of acquired businesses. The ideal candidate brings 3–6 years of financial analysis experience and a strong foundation in finance, accounting, or economics, with exposure to Private Equity‑backed, multi‑location, or operationally complex environments preferred. They are analytically strong, comfortable building models, forecasts, and dashboards using ERP systems (Sage preferred), BI tools such as Power BI, and advanced Excel. Successful candidates are detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work through imperfect data to generate meaningful insights. They are curious, proactive partners who learn the business quickly, take ownership of financial tools and reporting, and thrive in fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environments where they can influence decisions through clear analysis and strong cross‑functional collaboration. Compensation Base salary will vary on experience but will range from 90K-110K.
