Grading Crew Operator

Summary Position: Grading Crew Operator Department: Site Services Team Category of Employment: Full-Time Payroll Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt Work Hours: Varies based on business demand; schedule may include nights and weekends Note to Applicants All applicants should currently reside in the Middle Georgia area. These positions are based in Macon, Georgia, and all operations will be run locally. Applications from outside the region may not be considered to avoid confusion regarding relocation or travel. As a Grading Crew Operator, you will play a hands-on role in shaping construction sites by operating heavy equipment and supporting grading tasks under the direction of the Foreman. Your work directly supports First Environmental’s mission: to fix our customers’ problems and make them happy. Requirements Acceptable past work history Acceptable security background record Acceptable driving record (as reviewed by insurance provider) Pass a complete pre-employment physical exam, including DOT physical Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs. repeatedly Proficient in operating heavy equipment safely and effectively Willingness to assist with physical tasks, including pipe installation Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, and lift repeatedly Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Strong communication skills Self-starter with a positive attitude who leads by example Understanding and application of safety training requirements Duties / Responsibilities Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, including: Excavators Front-end loaders Backhoes Dozers Vibratory rollers Assist with grading operations and related sitework Follow the Foreman’s instructions and collaborate with crew members Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Show up consistently, contribute effort, and help the team meet daily goals Compensation Hourly, non-exempt pay structure Competitive wage based on experience and qualifications Overtime opportunities as business demands Benefits package provided upon hire
