Data Governance Lead

Analytica is seeking a Data Governance Lead to support one or more dynamic, long-term federal government enterprise data programs. The ideal candidate will serve as the technical lead the architecture and implementation of cloud and hybrid big data solutions for large federal enterprises looking to modernize their data operations.  Analytica has been recognized by Inc. The company offers competitive compensation with opportunities for bonuses, employer-paid health care, training and development funds, and 401k match.   This is a hybrid role with a requirement of one on-site day per week. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise data governance programs, ensuring data is discoverable, trusted, secure, and compliant with federal standardsDefine and enforce data governance policies, including data ownership, stewardship, classification, retention, and lifecycle managementEstablish and maintain data standards for metadata, data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), naming conventions, lineage, and data quality metricsOversee the development and adoption of enterprise metadata management, data catalogs, and business glossaries to support transparency and reusePartner with business, analytics, and engineering stakeholders to translate regulatory and mission requirements into governed data architectures Assess source system data quality, define remediation strategies, and implement data quality monitoring and controlsDesign and govern master and reference data management (MDM/RDM) strategies aligned to enterprise and mission needsEnsure alignment with data security, privacy, and access control requirements, including role-based access and attribute-based controlsReview and approve data architecture deliverables to ensure compliance with governance standards and federal best practicesProduce and maintain high-quality governance artifacts, including data dictionaries, lineage diagrams,  glossaries, governance playbooks, and compliance documentationServe as a subject matter expert on data governance and architecture in support of federal proposals and solution design efforts Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field7+ years of experience designing and governing enterprise data platforms in complex environments5+ years of experience implementing data governance, metadata management, or data quality frameworksStrong knowledge of the end-to-end data and analytics lifecycle, including governance, engineering, quality, and consumptionHands-on experience building cloud production data solutions leveraging cloud solutionsExperience implementing governance tooling such as Alation, Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, Collibra, or similar platformsDeep understanding of federal data governance, security, and compliance requirementsExperience leading or supporting on-premises to cloud data migrations with governance embedded by designCertification on major data governance platform preferredAbility to obtain Public Trust ClearanceAbout ANALYTICA: Analytica is a leading consulting and information technology solutions provider to public sector organizations supporting health, civilian, and national security missions.
