Commercial Wood Finisher

What You’ll Do As a Finishing Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality, professional finishes on custom millwork and cabinetry. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing wood surfaces through sanding, filling, and detailed prep work Applying a variety of finishes including stains, paints, sealers, lacquers, and conversion varnishes Matching colors and finishes to exact specifications and approved samples Working with hardwoods, veneers, laminates, and engineered materials Operating spray equipment such as HVLP and air-assisted systems Inspecting finished products to ensure consistency and AWI quality standards Performing touch-ups and final corrections before delivery or installation Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized finishing environment Following all safety and material-handling guidelines What We’re Looking For At least 3 years of commercial wood finishing experience Strong knowledge of finishing systems and materials Experience in architectural millwork or custom cabinetry preferred Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting If you possess a comprehensive skill set in carpentry and finishing techniques combined with a passion for delivering exceptional craftsmanship in commercial settings, we encourage you to apply today.
