Senior Software Engineer

Job ChickLas Vegas, NVApril 30th, 2026
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for restoring reliability, consistency, and functional integrity across the company’s core systems. This role operates in an environment where system ownership, workflow cohesion, and execution consistency are not fully established. The mandate is to identify where systems break down, resolve those issues directly in production, and ensure that critical functionality performs as expected under real operating conditions in telehealth.Success in this role is defined by measurable improvements in system behavior, reducedoperational friction, and consistent delivery of working outcomes. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical judgment, execution discipline, and the ability to move work forward in the absence of complete structure. This role operates within a regulated healthcare environment and requires adherence to data protection, system integrity, and compliance standards. All work must align with applicable HIPAA requirements, internal controls, and established safeguards governing access, modification, and use of sensitive data.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and resolve production-level issues impacting platform functionality, including userworkflows, internal systems, and third-party integrations.Restore consistency and reliability across core systems by addressing recurring failures, incomplete implementations, and execution gaps.Operate directly within live environments to debug, remediate, and stabilize system behaviorwithout reliance on full system redesign.Translate ambiguous or loosely defined problems into concrete, working solutions that improvereal-world system performance.Ensure that workflows function end-to-end as intended, with particular attention to points offailure, inconsistency, or breakdown.Reduce technical backlog by closing execution gaps and completing partially implemented ordegraded functionality.Partner with leadership and operational teams to address urgent system needs and ensureengineering output aligns with business requirements.Contribute across backend, frontend, and integration layers as required to deliver complete andfunctional outcomes.Identify misalignment between system behavior and business expectations, and implementcorrective actions to resolve discrepancies.Reinforce system stability through disciplined execution, repeatable fixes, and attention toproduction impact.Ensure all system changes involving sensitive data are performed in accordance with HIPAA,internal security standards, and access control policies.Maintain integrity of production systems by following appropriate change practices, includingvalidation, testing, and rollback planning where applicable.Ensure that system behavior affecting patient data, workflows, or regulated processes remainscompliant with defined operational and legal requirements.Required Experience (Non-Negotiable)5–10+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.Demonstrated ability to step into incomplete or underperforming systems and drive immediate, tangible improvements.Strong debugging and root-cause analysis capability across full-stack systems.Experience working directly in live production environments with real-time operational impact.Ability to operate effectively without fully defined requirements, documentation, or establishedprocesses.Experience working across APIs, integrations, and multi-system dependencies.Proven track record of delivering fully functional solutions, not partial or conceptual work.Preferred ExperienceExperience in healthcare, telehealth, pharmacy systems, or other regulated environments.Familiarity with EHR systems, workflow-driven platforms, or operationally dependent systems.Experience operating in lean, high-change, or rebuilding environments.Exposure to systems where reliability directly impacts customer experience or fulfillment.Performance ExpectationsResolves critical production issues within the onboarding period, with visible improvement insystem functionality and reliability.Delivers end-to-end fixes that fully restore intended workflow behavior, rather than partial orisolated improvements.Reduces recurrence of known system failures by addressing root causes, not just surface-levelsymptoms.Closes execution gaps across systems, ensuring that implemented functionality worksconsistently in real-world conditions.Demonstrates the ability to take ambiguous or loosely defined problems through to fully workingoutcomes without requiring detailed direction.Improves responsiveness to production issues, with measurable reduction in time-to-resolution.Identifies and corrects misalignment between system behavior and operational needs, ensuringsystems support—not hinder—business execution.Establishes a pattern of consistent, reliable delivery where engineering output translates directlyinto functional, stable results.Key AttributesExecution-oriented engineer with strong ownership mindset.Pragmatic and solution-focused, with the ability to operate within imperfect systems.Comfortable working in ambiguity and progressing work without full clarity.Focused on outcomes over theory; prioritizes working solutions.Resilient and effective in environments with shifting priorities and evolving structure.Work EnvironmentEngineering environment with evolving system ownership and inconsistent process maturity.Active operational rebuild with ongoing system instability and execution gaps.Close collaboration with leadership, operations, and support functions.High expectation for responsiveness and real-time problem resolution.Conditions of EmploymentWork must be performed in compliance with all applicable data protection, privacy, and securitystandards, including HIPAA requirements where relevant.Access to production systems and sensitive data must follow the principle of minimumnecessary access and adhere to internal access control policies. All changes to production systems must be executed in a controlled and traceable manner, including appropriate validation, documentation, and, where necessary, rollback capability.Engineering outputs must preserve data integrity, system reliability, and compliance withoperational and regulatory requirements. The role does not independently define or alter clinical, medical, or regulated workflows; all suchchanges must align with approved business and compliance guidelines.Identification and escalation of system risks, data inconsistencies, or compliance concerns isrequired.OutcomeConsistent, reliable performance across core platform systems.Reduction in recurring failures and broken workflows.Improved alignment between system behavior and operational requirements.Faster resolution of production issues impacting users and internal teams.Engineering output that consistently translates into stable, working functionality.Work LocationOnsite (Las Vegas, NV)Equal Employment OpportunityThe Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
