Data Analyst II (Hybrid/Richmond, VA)

The Data Analyst II is a financial and reporting analyst position that is responsible for supporting the Finance team’s data and processing systems and supports the analysis and presentation of financial information at the organizational, product, and client level. Additionally, the Data Analyst II fulfills ad-hoc requests for information, reporting and analysis. This position will be responsible for subject matter expertise with the company’s data and works under limited supervision in compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations.Position AccountabilitiesAct as the liaison to the enterprise data warehouse program, driving digital needs and requirements for data capture and reporting Design, build and deploy integrated BI dashboard solutions that will be used firm-wide Design, build and maintain the views, rules, and adapters in OneStream to support various reporting functionality Create reports, extracts, etc. based on business user specifications Create ad hoc data warehouse queries Create and support production ETL processes Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of internal systems Develop data feeds required for transfer to internal systems Monitor the successful execution of these transfers Develop database diagrams Organizational Relationship This position reports to the assigned functional leader.Position QualificationsEducation & ExperienceUndergraduate degree requiredDegree in the field of business administration, finance, or information systems preferred5 years of experience working with Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on Excel formulas required5 years of experience working with SQL and writing SQL queries requiredExperience working with SSIS, SSMS, SSRS, or SAS preferredWork experience in a financial institution or related field preferredKnowledge & SkillsAdvanced PC skills including MS Office and database applicationsVery strong Excel skillsStrong understanding of Relational Database conceptsStrong understanding of SQL queriesExcellent analytical, mathematical, evaluative and problem-solving skillsExcellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skillsHighly self-motivated and directedAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under high pressure and deadlinesUnderstanding of basic financial statementsIn-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and lawsStrong customer service orientationUnderstanding of basic Accounting principles and proceduresExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentSalary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
