Engineering Technician VI - Command, Control & Intelligence (C2I) Systems

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced *Engineering Technician VI - Command, Control & Intelligence (C2I) Systems* to provide advanced technical support for U.S. Navy combat systems and associated equipment. This position supports the troubleshooting, maintenance, analysis, certification, and restoration of critical command, control, and intelligence systems aboard U.S. Navy vessels.
The selected candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, performing hands-on technical support onboard U.S. Navy ships and at government and commercial facilities within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS). Work may be required during national emergencies, contingency operations, military conflicts, and within designated combat zones.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform fault troubleshooting and fault tree analysis (FTA) on U.S. Navy Command, Control, and Intelligence (C2I) systems.
* Diagnose, isolate, and identify root causes of equipment failures and system malfunctions.
* Conduct testing, repair verification, certification, and operational validation of combat system equipment.
* Provide technical expertise for system maintenance, upgrades, alterations, and modernization efforts.
* Support logistics, training, and operational readiness initiatives.
* Develop and implement durable corrective actions to restore equipment functionality.
* Prepare technical documentation and reports related to maintenance and system performance.
* Collaborate with military personnel, engineers, and program stakeholders to ensure mission readiness.
Required Qualifications
* Full-time, hands-on experience performing *Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)* on *U.S. Navy Command, Control, and Intelligence (C2I) Systems*.
* Current *DoD 8570 IAT Level I Information Assurance Baseline Certification* (Cybersecurity Workforce) and ability to maintain certification throughout the contract period.
* Current *Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (Exam MD-102)* certification and ability to maintain certification throughout contract performance.
* Strong knowledge of U.S. Navy combat systems, components, peripherals, support equipment, tactical software, training systems, and handling systems.
* Ability to troubleshoot complex electronic and information systems in operational environments.
* Excellent technical analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience supporting Navy surface combatants and fleet modernization programs.
* Experience working in shipboard, depot, and field service environments.
* Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance requirements and information assurance practices within DoD environments.
Work Environment & Travel
* Primary duty location: *Mayport, Florida.*
* Travel may be required to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
* Work may be performed onboard operational U.S. Navy ships, shipyards, military installations, and commercial facilities.
* Ability to support operations during contingency missions and deployments, including designated combat zones when required.
