Job Summary We are delighted to be assisting a key strategic partner with the recruitment of a new VP Operations for a cutting-edge sports analytics company based in Los Angeles. Our client specialises in providing advanced performance solutions for athletes and sports organisations, and they are seeking a highly skilled VP Operations to lead their operational strategy and ensure the seamless execution of their services on a global scale. Key Roles: Operational Leadership: Oversee all operational aspects of the company, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. Process Optimisation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and support the company’s growth and innovation. Team Management: Lead and mentor a diverse operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability across the organisation. Client Delivery Oversight: Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of the company’s analytics solutions to clients, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other senior leaders, including product, sales, and technology teams, to align operations with business goals and market demands. Key Responsibilities: Develop and Implement Operational Strategies: Design and execute robust operational strategies that support the company’s growth, scalability, and market position, ensuring efficient processes and workflows across all functions. Drive Process and Performance Improvements: Identify opportunities to optimise operations, reduce costs, and improve service delivery by implementing best practices, lean processes, and innovative solutions. Lead and Scale the Operations Team: Build, manage, and scale the operations team, ensuring they are equipped to support the company’s expanding client base and complex project requirements. Ensure Client Satisfaction and Delivery Excellence: Oversee the successful delivery of solutions to clients, ensuring all projects meet or exceed client expectations, deadlines, and performance metrics. Manage Operational Budgets and Resources: Take ownership of operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation while maintaining high standards of service delivery and operational performance. Key Skills and Experience: Proven experience in an operational leadership role, ideally as VP Operations or Head of Operations, within a technology-driven or sports-related environment. A strong background in managing large, cross-functional teams, with the ability to scale operations in a fast-paced, growth-oriented business. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving operational improvements and optimising performance across the organisation. Experience working with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, with strong communication and relationship management skills. A results-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage complex projects and deliver exceptional results while maintaining operational excellence.
