Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
DescriptionEssential Functions:The BCBA works with the Director of ABA Services and a team of Behavioral Technicians and Program Coordinators to provide applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy services for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disorders. The BCBA consults, provides ongoing training to parents and caregivers, conducts behavioral evaluations of clients and designs individualized behavior and support plans for clients. The BCBA is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, communicating and continually evaluating the effectiveness of services through functional assessments, behavioral evaluations, behavior plans and individual education plans for clients on their caseload. As a supervisor, a BCBA is a clinical teacher who educates, observes, assesses, and supervises the educational activities and service delivery of Behavioral Technicians. The BCBA will adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts. The BCBA maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours as directed by the Director of ABA Services.Administers, conducts, evaluates and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP, Vineland) and functional assessment measureDevelops individualized goals and objectives for home-, community-, and center-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment dataEnsures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectivesTeaches Program Coordinators and Behavior Technicians on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systemConducts regular caregiver and/or teacher training and consultation Outpatient Behavioral Services BCBA SupervisorIs responsible for ongoing individual Program oversight and conducting weekly supervision meetings with Program Coordinators and Behavior TechniciansMeets regularly with Director of ABA Services and notifies her/him immediately of issues impacting client's progress and satisfactionCompletes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as requested by the Director of ServicesDevelops written reports documenting behavioral recommendations for parents, caregivers and agency personnel in a timely and accurate mannerRequirementsKnowledge/ExperienceMaster’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, social work, speech language pathology, or related field requiredBoard Certified through the BACBAt least three years' experience serving individuals with ASD with a full range of skills and abilitiesAt least three years' experience working as an outreach consultant/in-home therapist in the autism or developmental disability fieldStrong knowledge of behavior analytic therapies; experience delivering these servicesExperience with staff training and supervisionMust be proficient with DTT, NET, ABA Program/Goal Development, ABA Behavior Reduction and Skills Acquisition Procedures, and Staff TrainingMust have excellent writing and communication skills, be highly organized with the ability to multitaskEquipment, Tools and SoftwareMicrosoft Office, Word, and ExcelBasic office equipmentLicenses/CertificationBCBA certification and/or licensed professionalPCM CertifiedCPR and First Aid trainedPhysical DemandsAble to lift 50 poundsAble to sit, and stand for periods of time
